Angie has spent her career in the business and nonprofit sectors educating and empowering others through resource sharing and timely, relevant communication. Over the past 20 years, she has held a variety of roles in many organizations and fields. She began her career as a policy analyst and government affairs specialist in the areas of higher education and housing finance. She has worked as a management consultant, assisting private sector and government leaders develop communication solutions in support of human capital management, strategic change initiatives, and technology implementations. In 2011, Angie started Clay Thomas Consulting to assist nonprofits with increasing community awareness, engaging prospective donors, and expanding programs and services. As the Kane County Board member for District 4, Angie represents a portion of Aurora’s far west side. This is her first term on the Kane County Board.
