The Department of Employment & Education, which operates under the Department of Human Resource Management, is a federally-funded department that readies the workforce for employment under the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. Services such as career counseling and assessment, resume creation, vocational and on-the-job training are offered to eligible adults, youth and dislocated workers through Illinois Employment and Training Centers in Aurora, DeKalb, Elgin, North Aurora and Yorkville.
