Departmental Accomplishments:
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the County for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for nine consecutive years (fiscal years 1997 through 2005).
Current Endeavors:
The Finance Department is in the process of replacing its Financial Management software with a state of the art .Net browser based windows system. This system will improve countywide financial management practices and procedures with the additional benefits of improved external reporting and communication. In conjunction with this change, the County will be able to provide better service to citizens and employees with "eSuite" self service software applications allowing more efficient flow of information to and from the County financial system. Why replace the existing system?
