• Idling Reduction Policy - for Kane County government vehicles, staff and contractors.​

• Certificate of Environmental Achievement for Kane County – presented by the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus for 2007-2014 environmental initiatives implemented.
  

• Green Infrastructure Plan - analysis of existing natural resources in the County and recommendations for green infrastructure priorities and approaches.

• Certificate of Tree Planting – presented by Eco Promotional Products for green purchasing efforts in 2016.
  

• Greenest Region Compact - Kane County adopted this compact, created by the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, in 2019 to align the County’s sustainability efforts with regional goals. ​​​

• Green Building Policy - Kane County adopted this policy in 2021 to incorporate green building and design principles into the building and renovation processes of county owned buildings. ​
