Under the direct supervision of the Workforce Services Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) adult and dislocated worker career service programming across the workforce development area of Kane, Kendall and DeKalb Counties within the key areas of intake, job seeker and training services, trade adjustment assistance, rapid response and quality assurance. This includes providing daily supervision, delegating work assignments and supporting Program Assistant and Career Specialist through regular staffing sessions, ensuring comprehensive case management services are provided and delivered with quality which includes providing direct job and career counseling to eligible participants, assisting with the design and implementation of training initiatives, supporting data collection and analysis efforts, ensuring compliance of programs with complex laws and regulations, and leading oversight of Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) and supportive service payment along with the corresponding tracking protocols. Additional responsibilities include on-going engagement with the division's business services team and one-stop center staff which includes participating in activities formed to support the local workforce area, group workshop facilitation, outreach and recruitment assistance along with preparing and reviewing reports utilizing database systems. Qualified applicants will have a bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, social services, education, or a related field, and progressively responsible and relevant career experience. Applicants should have a proficient knowledge of WIOA laws, rules, and regulations. Experience effectively organizing a broad range of responsibilities is preferred, along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Applicants should possess strong organizational skills, solid written and oral communication skills, proficiency with digital literacy and the demonstrated ability to effectively engage diverse groups.
