Responsible Recycling
Kane County is currently contracting with Sims Recycling Solutions, Inc (SRS) for electronics collection and recycling services. Upon receipt, SRS will assess equipment for reusability or refurbishment. What cannot be reused will be responsibly demanufactured in the United States and recycled according to R2 standards. All data stored on computer hard drives will be completely erased or destroyed under the highest security (meeting all FACTA privacy protection requirements), so there is no need to wipe your drives before recycling.
